Hello,

I am Clinical Psychologist Mira Şeniz Erten.

To me, the journey we take into our inner selves—exploring intergenerational transmissions and the silent stories our bodies tell through illness or blockages—is a process far too precious to be left to superficial trends. My own introduction to these concepts—which are frequently discussed today—and their subsequent integration into my clinical practice is, in fact, the story of how a questioning, analytical mind that seeks evidence was gradually convinced over the years.

When I began studying Computer Engineering at Hacettepe University at the age of sixteen, my intention was to understand the inner workings of systems and computers. Yet, by the end of those four years, I realized that the codes truly needing to be deciphered lay hidden within the vast, intricate network connecting the human mind and body. This realization led me to explore the meaning of existence through Philosophy at Boğaziçi University, and subsequently, human nature and clinical practice through Psychology at METU. Looking back, I view with awe how these seemingly disparate disciplines converged seamlessly, allowing me to comprehend the human being as a holistic system.

Life’s trajectory can shift—sometimes through a person, an accident, or a journey. My own turning point was a trip to India in 2004. Crossing paths there with scientists and therapists from institutions such as Harvard, UCLA, and the University of Berlin launched a global learning odyssey that took me from the US to China, and from Germany to Spain.

It was during this period that I first encountered Family Constellations. However, driven by my analytical mind and professional ethics, I did not immediately adopt this powerful system into my practice. For over a decade, I quietly observed and assisted with the constellation work of many world-renowned masters in the "Knowing Field." I became a practitioner myself only after becoming convinced—with every fiber of my being—that this profound practice was not merely a passing fad, but a deep human legacy.

As I witnessed how the burdens inherited from the past leave their mark on the body during constellation sessions, I realized that incorporating the body's wisdom into the process was essential for true healing. With this insight, I completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, thereby bridging trauma resolution with the tangible reality of the nervous system. To further deepen my clinical expertise, I incorporated training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy into my practice. Today, I continue this journey of deepening my work without interruption, participating in a peer group of international colleagues and receiving supervision guided by my Canadian and American mentors.

While supporting my own family members through their illnesses, I personally experienced the unbreakable bond between trauma and the language of the body. Today, by closely following developments in epigenetics and neuroscience, I strive to decode the languages of the body, the brain, and illness—much like I once deciphered computer software. Interestingly, this profound scientific endeavor has ultimately led me back to the simplest essence of human nature: a state of meditative awareness.

It is precisely here that I draw inspiration from the way the Buddha—thousands of years ago—analyzed the human mind, the nature of suffering, and our internal cycles with such immense analytical brilliance. That is why I find integrating meditation into my clinical practice to be invaluable. For I believe that the true key to untangling the mind's most complex knots lies not in getting lost within emotions, but in viewing that intense narrative we call the "self" from the non-judgmental, compassionate, and serene vantage point of the "observer"—a state to which the Buddha pointed.

On this journey, I am not an authority figure dictating truths or telling you "this is the way to go." Rather, I am a fellow traveler who—while remaining grounded in the safety of clinical boundaries—blends the spiritual with scientific realities and walks compassionately alongside you, helping you recognize the cycles within your own inner system.

Whether you are an adult exhausted by life's responsibilities, longing to shed your burdens and return to yourself; or a young soul trying to make sense of the world and build a future free from the conditioning of the past... it is possible to lovingly transform the "software" of your own life, no matter where you currently stand in your story.

My endeavor to understand the human being—the mind and the soul—has not been confined to the walls of a clinic. Grasping "love"—that most complex, mysterious, and unpredictable of human emotions—required a literary expression that went beyond mere clinical observation. Through my novel *Göster Yüzünü Ey Aşk* (Show Your Face, O Love)—which centers on two years of in-depth research and brings the real-life manifestations of those findings to light through storytelling—I sought to carry this unique human quest for self-understanding and healing into the restorative realm of literature.

I would be honored to walk beside you—with all my scientific expertise and my heart—on this journey toward your own profound inner wisdom.

With love,
